Nearly $65 million in sales of God of War on Steam in the first month of release
God of War was released on Steam on January 14, 2022, and within a month of release, GameSensor estimated that about 1.5 million copies of the game were sold on the platform. During the same period, God of War sales on Steam totaled nearly $65 million.
The PC version of God of War was highly rated on Metacritic: the players gave it 8.5 points out of 10, and critics gave it 93 points from a possible 100. The game was also praised by users on Steam, giving it almost 5 stars out of 5.
The developer of the PC version is Santa Monica Studio and the publisher is PlayStation PC LLC. If we compare the novelty with the publisher's previous project on Steam Days Gone, the sales of God of War in the first month of release on the platform are almost 4 times the amount of sales of Days Gone for the same period.
